On Friday, September, 5th, hundreds of homes across South Florida will join a mass entertainment industry movement to raise funds for cancer research—Stand Up 2 Cancer. Simply by opening your home to friends to watch this nationally televised fundraising event, you can be a part of history while supporting your local cancer center—UM/Sylvester.

It doesn’t get easier than this:

• On September 5th, from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., host a casual party for six or more of your friends to watch a one-hour, commercial-free broadcast being aired on all major networks and aimed at rallying the public to end cancer’s reign as a leading cause of death.

• Encourage your guests to make a gift to UM/Sylvester (checks payable to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center) during the broadcast which will feature 50 of the biggest names in TV, Film, sports and music—like Jennifer Aniston, Lance Armstrong, Meryl Streep and Forest Whittaker.

• Turn in your collected donations to your Jeans Day office contact and Marcum will make the delivery to UM/Sylvester—South Florida's only university-based cancer center with more clinical trials than any facility in the region.
