	Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies hmhb.org Founded in 1981, prompted by the US Surgeon General’s conference on infant mortality, The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB) is a recognized leader and resource in maternal and child health, reaching an estimated 10 million health care professionals, parents, and policymakers through its membership of over 100 local, state and national organizations.

	Neighbors 4 Neighbors neighbors4neighbors.org/ Neighbors 4 Neighbors is a non-profit organization originally created in 1992 in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew by WFOR-TV, CBS4. With a staff of four dedicated professionals and scores of volunteers, Neighbors 4 Neighbors can launch an immediate and effective community response to any emergency. With the power of television as one of its greatest assets, the organization expanded its service beyond hurricane relief and evolved into one of the most effective vehicles for connecting those in need with those who can help.

	Center for Family Services centerffs.org Center For Family Services is a nonprofit human services agency with over 90 years of experience serving youth and families in southern New Jersey. We provide a comprehensive continuum of care dedicated to changing the odds for children and families through prevention, intervention, and education.

	Feeding South Florida feedingsouthflorida.org Feeding South Florida, a not for profit organization, empowers other South Florida Not-for-profit organizations to feed needy people and improve their lives. They do this by providing food and other grocery products: and by educating and engaging the local community to fight hunger and poverty. Feeding South Florida is the South Florida affiliate of Feeding America, a member of the Florida Association of Food Banks and the largest food bank in the State of Florida. In 2005, the Marcum Foundation donated $880 as well as hundreds of dollars worth of canned goods.

	Tri County Humane Society tricountyhumane.org The Tri County Humane Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals believes animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measure and are entitled to legal, moral, ethical consideration, and protection. They are a 100% no kill shelter and a 100% not for profit shelter. All of the funding they receive is dedicated to rescue activities.

	Bankruptcy Bar Foundation, Southern District of Florida bbasdfl.org The Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida (BBASDFL) was established in 1980. It is the largest voluntary association of bankruptcy professionals in the Southern District of Florida. With hundreds of members, the BBASDFL organizes events to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and sponsors initiatives to improve the bankruptcy system for the public.

	Children's Home Society of Florida www.chsfl.org Established in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is one of Florida's oldest private nonprofit organizations providing services to children and families. CHS delivers a unique spectrum of social services designed to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment; to strengthen and stabilize families; to help young people break the cycle of abuse and neglect; and to find safe, loving homes for children. Last year, CHS helped to improve the lives of more than 139,000 children and family members.

	University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center www.sylvester.org UM/Sylvester opened as a dedicated, comprehensive cancer center in 1992 and today serves as the hub for cancer-related research, diagnosis, and treatment at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. UM/Sylvester handles more than 1,400 inpatient admissions annually, performs 3,000 surgical procedures, and treats 3,000 new cancer patients. 	Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation/Dan Marino Center www.mchf.org Miami Children's Hospital Foundation raises funds and awareness for Miami Children's Hospital, South Florida's only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children. The 275-bed hospital is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine. Miami Children's Hospital and Miami Children's Hospital Foundation work together to ensure that no child will ever have to leave South Florida to receive the best pediatric care.

	Cystic Fibrosis Foundation www.cff.org The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. The Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted to cystic fibrosis.

	Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization www.bgcdownsyndrome.org/ Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization is aware of the special needs of a child with Down Syndrome and is available to help. Their goal is simple, to enhance the lives of individuals with Down Syndrome by helping them reach their fill potential by providing family support, education and social activities.

	Special Olympics Broward County www.specialolympicsbroward.org/ The mission of Special Olympics Broward County is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities who wish to participate, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

	HANDY handyinc.org HANDY’s mission is to embrace, educate, and empower vulnerable youth to become engaged, productive adults. Founded in 1985, HANDY has met the needs of more than 45,000 Broward County children and youth in foster and relative/non-relative care under protective supervision. HANDY annually serves more than 1,300 at-risk children and youth, between the ages of birth to 23 years. HANDY's programs focus on education, youth development, and economic self-sufficiency.

	Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami familycounseling.org Founded in 1917, Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami is the longest serving agency in Miami-Dade County dedicated to promoting mental health and emotional wellness to children and their families. Through prevention programs, mental health counseling and support services, FCS assists more then 6,000 individuals each year, about 80% which are children.

	Touch A Heart Foundation www.touchaheartfoundation.org Touch A Heart is a non-profit foundation dedicated to raising much needed funds to enhance the lives of less fortunate children in the South Florida tri-county area through various local agencies such as Family Central, Boys and Girls CLubs of Broward County, ChildNet, as well as Jackson Memorial Hospital's pediatric transplant unit. During the holiday season, Touch A Heart adopts families and daycare centers and provides them with gifts and holiday meals.

	Voices for Children Foundation www.voices4.org Voices For Children Foundation raises funds to ensure that every abused and neglected child in Miami-Dade County has a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, an advocate that speaks up for the best interests of the child, and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their accompanying health, educational, and social needs.

	Informed Families www.informedfamilies.org Informed Families serves as an education, training and support center for parents, schools and communities to help raise safe, healthy and drug-free children.

	Hands on Miami http://www.handsonmiami.org Since 1993, Hands on Miami has organized more than 70 service opportunities each month, giving thousands of area residents the chance to volunteer and make a difference. HOM volunteers - whether as individuals, employees, or families - bring hands-on community support, hope and joy to lives often overshadowed by instability and uncertainty.

	Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure http://ww5.komen.org Since 1982, Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer – transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors.

	FICPA Educational Foundation ficpa.org Founded in 1959 the FICPA Educational Foundation has distributed more than $2 million to to over 120 deserving Florida accounting students around the state. The Foundation ensures the integrity and success of accounting professionals throughout Florida and provides scholarships to deserving accounting students across the state.

	Home Safe homesafeforkids.org For 30 years Home Safe has been providing pioneering care and treatment to Palm Beach County’s most vulnerable population, abused, neglected and abandoned children. Incorporated in 1979 as a day program for abused children, Home Safe has taken the lead in our community by developing the programs and services necessary to respond to the growing needs of children and families.

	March of Dimes www.marchofdimes.com The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birth weight.

	Paws 4 You Rescue www.paws4you.org At a single shelter in Miami-Dade County, up to 150 animals are euthanized each day. Paws 4 You Rescue, a nonprofit, volunteer animal rescue organization, works to save these animals by finding suitable homes and providing quality medical care, ranging treatment for heartworm and skin infections to major surgery and rehabilitation.

	S.T.E.P.S. in the Right Direction Inc. www.stepsflorida.org S.T.E.P.S. in the Right Direction, Inc (S.T.E.P.S. Inc.) helps strengthen the community by delivering the highest quality evidence-based health and human services to the elderly, caregivers of the elderly and children, needy families and children, refugees, immigrants, and individuals with disabilities and any special needs.

	Habitat for Humanity www.habitatbroward.org Habitat for Humanity of Broward, the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity International, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing from our community. Since its inception in 1983, Habitat Broward has successfully built over 200 homes which have significantly impacted the lives of over 1,100 children and adults as well as provided safe, decent shelter to families in need throughout Broward County.

	Diana Smith - Mother and Friend Diana Smith, a 28-year-old South Florida mother and dear friend to many is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). She desperately needs a transplant—an operation that will cost up to $40,000. Her challenges were recently magnified when the family’s home was robbed and valuable collectibles she was planning to sell were stolen. Donations will be sent to the Bone Marrow Foundation.

	Kristi House www.kristihouse.org Kristi House provides a healing environment for all child victims of sexual abuse and their families, regardless of income, through prevention, treatment and coordination of services with our community partners.

	American Red Cross www.redcross.org The Red Cross has provided disaster relief to Americans for nearly 125 years, relying on the support of the American public, hundreds of thousands of selfless volunteers and partnerships with other agencies. Last year, the Marcum Foundation raised more than $19,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and the Tsunami relief program.

	Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County www.bbbsbroward.org/ The Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships. The Marcum Foundation has raised $540 so far to help with this charity's effort.

	United Way of Broward County www.unitedwaybroward.org United Way of Broward County is a volunteer driven, community-based, non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of individuals and families in Broward County. United Way of Broward County unites the resources of donors, volunteers and agencies to identify and target the community’s most pressing needs and creates measurable results that have the greatest impact.

	Ocean Watch Foundation www.oceanwatch.org Ocean Watch Foundation works to preserve and protect the local coral reef communities in Southeast Florida. Last year, the Marcum Foundation donated $350 to help their efforts.

	Salvation Army www.salvationarmyusa.org The Salvation Army has supported those in need since 1865. Nearly 33 million Americans receive assistance each year through services that provide food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. Last year, the Marcum Foundation sponsored a toy drive, collecting more than $500 worth of toys for the Salvation Army.

	Samantha Foundation www.thesamanthafoundation.org The Samantha Foundation's mission is to educate and instruct parents on creating a safe home environment for children. In 2005, the Marcum Foundation raised $290 to help this organization and will be one of the sponsors of their First Annual Golf Tournament.

	Tri-County Humane Society www.tricountyhumane.org The Tri County Humane Society is a not-for-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to saving animals in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. Last year, the Marcum Foundation donated $540 to assist in their efforts.

	Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital www.jdch.com Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is the leading children's hospital in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. It is the only children's hospital in Broward and Palm Beach Counties performing cardiac catheterization and open heart surgery, and it is one of only a few hospitals in the nation minimally invasive, endoscopic surgery for cranial abnormalities. In 2005, the Marcum Foundation donated more than $1,000 worth of toys to the hospital.

	Wheels for Kids www.wheelsforkids.org Wheels for Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2003 by Denise Jungbert in honor of her daughter, Ashlee, who has Cerebral Palsy (CP). The organization was established to provide wheelchairs to handicapped children afflicted with CP living in Palm Beach County who are financially unable to purchase them on their own and who do not qualify for public funding or other charitable sources.

	Kids in Distress www.kidsindistress.org Kids In Distress incorporated in 1979 as a private, non-profit agency with a goal of providing early intervention and effective prevention and treatment for young abuse victims and their families in South Florida.

	Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies (HM-HB) www.hmhbbroward.org Healthy Mothers-Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, Inc. (HM-HB) was formed in 1987 to address a rising rate of infant mortality and a crisis in access to prenatal care. Dedicated to reducing infant mortality and improving birth outcomes, HM-HB provides access to prenatal and pediatric care, as well as health education.

	Early Learning Coalition of Broward County www.elcbroward.org The Early Learning Coalition of Broward County, works to ensure that all children enter kindergarten socially, emotionally, cognitively and behaviorally ready to learn. 	Ronald McDonald House of South Florida www.rmhcsouthflorida.org Established in 1988, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of South Florida is a not-for profit organization dedicated to helping local children live happier, healthier and more productive lives by supporting healthcare and medical research programs, education and the arts, and civic and social programs.

	The Pet Project petprojectforpets.org The Pet Project helps people living with terminal diseases or other disabling conditions to keep their pets by providing pet care and ongoing support. Pet Project volunteers work hard to make sure the pet's needs are taken care of so the owner can relax and enjoy their beloved pet's company.

	Fairy Tails www.fairytailsadoptions.org Fairy Tails provides assistance to people with animals in need of shelter and care, finds homes for abandoned and surrendered animals, and educates the community on keeping pets responsibly. The organization holds weekly adoption events and visits schools and other organizations regularly to talk about responsible pet ownership, the humane treatment of animals, and other important pet ownership issues.

	Water Angels waterangelsus.org Water Angels is a Broward County-based, non-profit agency that works to educate parents, schools and caregivers about water safety. The organization stresses that swimming lessons alone are not enough. Barriers between children and water and constant supervision of children whenever they are around water are absolutely essential to keep children safe.

	Tyler Scott Goldberg Foundation tylerscottgoldberg.com The Tyler Scott Goldberg Foundation is committed to ensuring that children receive the proper training and education before operating a personal watercraft to prevent serious injury or a fatal accident. The foundation also provides support and assistance to families coping with the difficulties encountered when a child sustains injuries from a watercraft accident.

	Communities in Schools of Miami (CIS Miami) cismiami.org Communities In Schools of Miami works with some of Miami's most challenged students. In order to assist these at risk students and their families, Communities In Schools mobilizes the community and brings existing resources into the schools – right where they are needed. CIS of Miami links schools and community resources to help kids finish school and prepare for life. Services are offered free to the students. Programs are located in grade schools, high schools and at many community sites.

	Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training teamintraining.org Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

	Breast Cancer 3 Day - Benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure 08.the3day.org Battling breast cancer is hard work. Hard work to overcome it, for the people affected. Hard work to treat it, for doctors and other healthcare professionals. And hard work to find the causes and cures, for breast cancer researchers. That's why we walk so far on the Breast Cancer 3-Day. To honor the fact that, while a world without breast cancer is possible, getting there requires hard work.

	Miami Children's Museum www.miamichildrensmuseum.org The Miami Children’s Museum is a non-profit educational institution that offers hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits; programs; classes; and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication. Since 1983, the museum has been dedicated to enriching the lives of all children in our multicultural community.

	Miami Lighthouse www.miamilighthouse.com For more than 75 years, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind has served people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired. The agency provides a wide range of rehabilitation, vocational and social services, including low-vision products and life enrichment classes to improve quality of life and to help individuals maintain an active and independent lifestyle.

	Michael Stolzenberg www.michaelstolzenbergtrust.org Last July, 8-year-old Michael Stolzenberg was rushed to the emergency room with a severe bacterial infection. Thanks to the heroic efforts of doctors and nurses at Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, Mikey survived, but oxygen depravation to his limbs resulted in the amputation of both hands and feet. Mikey’s only hope of regaining some independence and normalcy in his life is to have superior prosthetics.

	Support for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis On January 25th , families and friends of individuals with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis will take to the streets of Miami to help the estimated 1.4 million Americans affected by irritable bowel diseases. Won’t you please support this 13.1 mile run to raise funds for a cure and to help improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases?

	Humane Society of Broward County Walk for the Animals www.walk4theanimals.com The Humane Society of Broward County provides the highest number of adoptions in the Southeast U.S., yet receives no public funds to care for these animals. That’s why the annual Walk for the Animals is so important. All donations go directly to the animals, the shelter and its programs like pet therapy and spay/neuter initiatives.

	Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami www.wementor.org Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami is the premier mentoring organization of South Florida, helping thousands of children each year through professionally supported, one-on-one relationships with caring adult volunteers.

	Autism Society of America Broward Chapter www.asabroward.org The Broward Chapter of the Autism Society of America was founded in 1992. It is dedicated to the education and welfare of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. Broward ASA has been the impetus to initiate many educational programs for autistic students in Broward County.

	Creative Children Therapy www.creative-children.org CCT was founded by three mothers, all parenting special-needs children, and a group of therapists. Their concerns and challenges led to a desire to offer their children creative stimulation while caring for their physical needs. The result is a creative environment where special needs children have access to both traditional and alternative therapies, as well as a host of other programs.

	Lee National Denim Day www.denimday.com Since its inception in 1996, Lee National Denim Day has adhered to a simple philosophy: one day, one cause, one cure®. In 13 years, that philosophy has become a mantra for millions and has made an impact Lee Jeans never dreamed possible. It all started when several Lee Jeans employees realized that each of them, in one form or another, had been touched by breast cancer. An everyday conversation sparked an idea and led to the creation of Lee National Denim Day, which has become one of the largest single-day fundraisers nationwide for breast cancer. Since its first year, Lee National Denim Day has raised more than $75 million for the fight against breast cancer and unites nearly one million supporters nationwide each year.

	A Child in Need - Michael Brewer Last month, 15-year-old Broward resident Michael Brewer was the victim of a horrific crime. Intentionally set afire by a group of neighborhood bullies, Michael sustained severe burns over 80% of his body. In the coming months, Michael will undergo numerous painstaking surgeries and skin grafts. In 2005, we established the Marcum Foundation to support special needs in our community—needs like those of Michael Brewer, a Broward teen who could be one of our own children or the child or a relative or friend. The Marcum Foundation supports children and families like Michael’s who might otherwise not receive the support they so desperately need.

	Treasure Box Project www.treasureboxproject.org Started in 1999, the Treasure Box Project is a grass roots endeavor that brings joy in the form of gift boxes delivered to children who might otherwise not receive a birthday or holiday present. The colorful boxes are filled with items like books, bubbles, school supplies and toiletries. Last year alone, the Treasure Box Project delivered more than 3,500 gift boxes to needy children in South Florida.

	Queen for a Day www.qfadmiami.org Queen for a Day, originally started as a nonprofit organization to help girls with self-esteem issues, is a South Florida-based program for pediatric cancer patients that offers a joyful distraction from the physical strain and emotional distress of cancer treatment. Girls are given makeovers, manicures and rhinestone tiaras, while boys are treated like heroes with firefighter and police officer-themed gifts.
