Bringing the Holidays to a
Very Special Home
Fort Lauderdale , FL—Gathering to bring the holidays to orphaned, neglected and abused children, Marcum LLP employees delivered more than $3,000 worth of gifts to the Children's Home Society in December.
Each year the firm holds a toy drive for an organization selected by employees.
"Giving back is a core value at Marcum LLP, and one our employees feel strongly about," says Lawrence Blum, Senior Partner, Marcum LLP. "Our team members in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach truly went above and beyond to bring joy to the children served by this outstanding organization."
Employees collected items for children from infants to 17 years of age. Among the gifts were bath toys and puzzles, games, jewelry, makeup and purses. In addition, Marcum employees donated new bicycles, scooters and small electronics including CD players, ipods and hand-held video games.

About the Marcum Foundation
The Marcum Foundation was established in 2005 as a way to support charitable organizations within the South Florida community. Team members from the firm Marcum LLP are actively involved in the selection of causes. They participate in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, offering their time and money to charities that are dear to them. Marcum LLP matches dollar for dollar for every team member donation made. Through team members’ contributions and matching donations, the Marcum Foundation raised more than $85,000 in 2006.
Recently, the Marcum Foundation launched a Planned Giving Program, a voluntary program where Marcum LLP team members can have donations deducted directly from their paychecks. These donations are distributed quarterly to four South Florida non-profit organizations that support causes in these categories: healthcare, children’s welfare, the elderly and poverty. Marcum LLP is the only Florida-based accounting and advisory firm that has a charitable giving program of this kind.
