Marcum Foundation receives “Thank You” for charitable donations to Children's Home Society of Florida Foundation

As part of the Marcum LLP's commitment to giving back to the community, the “Planned Giving Program” was founded. Through the Marcum Foundation Planned Giving Program, team members of the firm have an easy way to voluntarily contribute to four designated local charities. Donations are deducted directly from their paychecks and then distributed quarterly to four South Florida non-profit organizations that support causes in these categories: healthcare, children’s welfare, the elderly and poverty.  

The Children's Home Society of Florida Foundation is one of the top four organizations that Marcum LLP supports with donations from its “Planned Giving Program”. Recently a thank you letter was received from Children's Home Society of Florida Foundation President – T. Robert Giese for Marcum LLP’s contribution to the Children's Home Society. In his letter Mr. Giese writes:

"On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Children's Home Society of Florida Foundation, please accept my most sincere appreciation for your generous gift of $2,625.00, received on September 16, 2009 to be divided equally among our Southeastern, Intercoastal and South Coastal Divisions.

It is so hearting for us to know we remain an important part of the Marcum Foundation's charitable interest, especially during these challenging financial times. Last weekend, I attended a fundraiser where one of our former foster care children spoke to us"



About the Marcum Foundation
The Marcum Foundation was established in 2005 as a way to support charitable organizations within the South Florida community. Team members from the firm Marcum LLPP are actively involved in the selection of causes. They participate in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, offering their time and money to charities that are dear to them. Marcum LLP matches dollar for dollar for every team member donation made. Through team members’ contributions and matching donations, the Marcum Foundation raised more than $235,000 in 2008.

About Children's Home Society of Florida
Founded in Jacksonville in November 1902, amidst a nationwide effort to find safe homes and loving families for children orphaned by industrial and farm accidents, epidemics such as tuberculosis, or during childbirth. As the largest organization in the state accredited by Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services (COA), CHS has maintained continuous accreditation since 1982. CHS' commitment to excellence recently resulted in re-accreditation through 2010.
